God is For Me
Yesterday I was sitting on my back patio enjoying a beautiful summer morning with my bible in hand. I was looking up a few verses in Psalms when I ran across something that God knew I desperately needed to read and know deep within my heart. Four simple, yet profound words: God is for me. I penciled a box around those four words so I couldn't forget their power and meaning to me in that moment. Just the day before I had endured a rotten day. I cried out to God, sobbing in my bedroom for answers. I felt better after a good cry (don't we all?) and then God presented me with this important gem the next morning.
But today, it got even better. I sat up in bed and began to read my devotion from Charles Spurgeon. The focal verse was Psalm 56:9: "Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me."
Yes, the same verse I had just read the day before at random!
But God isn't random. He is perfect. His timing is perfect.

Exactly right, Cherie!! Don't you just love it when God speaks to us so clearly? And the message is always just what we need to hear.
