Check this out:
And this:
I immediately contacted Monvee and asked for a review copy ('cause that's what bloggers do!). I sat down to take the spiritual assessment and was BLOWN AWAY by it's accuracy! It showed me how I learn best, where I tend to struggle, where I tend to thrive. Then it compiles a plan that helps me in every area of my spiritual life based on that assessment. I log on each day to interact with My Plan.
I love that Monvee is interactive, so each day that I check off the items on my list, my progress grows. That always feel good, right? It can be used online, but also has an app for your smartphone.
Monvee is based on the book The Me I Want to Be, by John Ortberg. I'm in the middle of reading that now, and man is it jam packed with info that I needed to hear! I'll let you all in on it once I am finished. Here are a couple quotes that really hit home for me:
"Your life is not limited to certain devotional activities that you engage in. It is receiving power from the Spirit of God to become the person God had in mind when he created you-his handiwork."
"When you fail to become the person God designed, all the rest of us miss out on the gift you were made to give."
"The Spirit never just flows in us; he always flows through us so that others might flourish as well. When you are in the flow of the Spirit, there is going to be some spillover that blesses someone else."
This book is FULL of great stuff! And it is what led to the creation of Monvee.
Guess what? The Monvee folks have given me a copy to giveaway! Leave a comment and tell us what you like about the Monvee program. Entries will remain open until Sunday, April 10th at midnight.
I like the idea of having a checklist of ways to stay connected with Christ, opening the door for spiritual growth. I'd love to win a copy of this app!
ReplyDeleteI have to actually think about this, lol. But I do like that it can custom-tailor books and articles based on my..interests I think? Pretty neat. I would try it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks different than the standard "spiritual gifts" assessments and tools that I've used. I always feel like personality profiles give me a crutch to use instead of improving the parts of my character that are weaker. Since the point of this is growth, it might be more useful!
ReplyDeleteI really like all of the features, but I do like the fact that it is individualized and also gives a plan
ReplyDeleteI like having a plan!! I've done other assessments and it was like "now what?" Thanks for introducing this to us!
ReplyDeleteI'd LOVE a plan tailored just to me!! Thanks for sharing this!
