Time for Tomato Cages

It's an exciting day in the garden when the tomatoes have grown tall enough to require a cage!  After a very cool and wet spring, summer has finally arrived.  A week of heat really made the garden take off!  Husband was very sweet and made us some cages out of the same wood we used for the cucumber trellis.  We're trying not to spend any money, so using found objects works really well....or raiding your garage!

K is super excited about how things are growing.  We're trying a little lasagna gardening with that pizza box keeping the weeds down!

I think K is most excited about the tomatillos!  She took this photo herself!  It's in there!!  Our plant is loaded!

It is good to finally see some progress!!
