All Things New

These are my monkeys
I know the signs usually read "Don't Feed The Animals", but I do!!

We all know that God is a genius, buy his infinite wisdom astounds me.  Spring follows winter.  A new awakening happens in our world when spring arrives, and it is not just our earth that responds, it is US.  We suddenly feel more energetic, more engaged, we want to be outside climbing trees, we are happier, ready to spring clean: our spirits lift.

The earth begins to show signs of new life again.
Amongst the dead brown leaves and old flower stalks,
new life is emerging.  It cannot be held back.
Do you think it was a coincidence that spring and Easter go hand in hand?  God wants us to see the relevance between new life again in the spring time and the new life that only Jesus can offer.  It too, cannot be held back.  It is life giving power, power that holds the world together breath by breath:

"For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."  Colossians 1:16-17

Don't miss the incredible glory displayed here for us to see.  God created everything FOR HIM.  We are just blessed beyond measure to be able to live among his creations.  And that last section, "in him all things hold together", is one of the most powerful statements in the Bible.  Think about it, if God chooses to let go, everything on this earth falls apart.  You think gravity is a natural phenomenon?

As Easter approaches, think on these things.  Marvel in the wonderful creation that God has made, and reflect on his lessons of new life through Jesus Christ.

  1. What a great post. I love the flowers peeking out. It really makes me wish the Spring would emerge in South Dakota. The sun is shining today, now the snow needs to all disappear. And the pic of your kids is really cute, too.
