Summertime is a perfect time to try new things. My best girlfriend, Jennifer and I decided we would get our girls together and have a sewing class. Our 10 year old girls were born only 3 weeks apart and have been best buds ever since! We bought simple patterns for only 99 cents at a Hobby Lobby sale--yes you must wait until they go on sale. Do people really pay that ridiculous price of $15.95?? Then we bought some outrageously cute fabric and we were ready for our adventure.
With only one working machine, it took awhile, but the girls took turns--while one was sewing, the other was gathering, or giggling as the case may have been!! They had a great time, learned a new skill, giggled like crazy, spent time with their moms, and ended up with total cuteness for a skirt! Our next sewing class will be skirts for the moms!!
