This Is The Way

I have always loved this verse, as it is a constant reminder that I am not in this life alone.  I have a Holy Navigator who sees all that is in front of me, and will guide my each and every step.  God did not create me and then abandon me to blindly find my way through this life.  We were each created with a purpose.  A holy purpose for God's glory.  When we have a mission like that, why do we think that the Captain has abandoned ship?

Friends, He is at the helm!  He knows all that is before us, and if we will listen, He is gently guiding us through each and every step of our lives.  But if we are not listening, if we are not stopping long enough to commune with him in a quiet hour, we will miss that direction.  We will go wayward off the path of his direction.

If you are not having a consistent quiet time with the Lord, can I challenge you today to make that happen?  He so desires to talk with you.  As you awake each morning, He eagerly awaits a smile from you, a good morning, a tender thought turned His way.  Don't make Your Living God wait for that quiet moment He so desires with you.

Lord Jesus, I pray for  every reader who stops by here today, that they will find a quiet few moments to spend with you each and every day.  Will you help them to make that happen?  Will you provide the power of your Holy Spirit to create a way? I know you so desire that time with each of your dearly loved children.  May you bless any time your children yield in this earthly life to experience a piece of heaven with you.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

  4. What a beautiful topic and insight. I have learned so much about listening to Him since I was laid off from work. I am the primary breadwinner in my home and well - it could be really, really hard. But I have faith that God will show me - each day - what I need to do to accomplish my part of His plan. When I am intentional in my listening and diligent in my obedience - my day is fruitful. And when I am not - I am not! I appreciate your post - I think it might have been a little nudge from God to clean out my ears again and lean not on my own understanding.

Thanks for your post. I invite you to visit my new blog during your iFellowship visits. I've offered #15 Home for the Holidays.

  5. I love it! I've been thinking the same thing this week, and even wrote a post about it on Tuesday. It's so true. We need to remember that HE is in control; not us. We must leave it to him to guide us where we need to go. Love the idea of Word-Filled Wednesday!

BTW, I just used a photo from your site for my Wordless Wednesday today: http://bit.ly/bMkHy6 Thanks! Laura

  6. This is such a wonderful post!!! It's for the exact reasons you mentioned, that I chose "He will not fail you or abandon you." as the highlighted verse in my button. To know we have such an amazing and loving God is comfort in all of life's circumstances. Thanks so much for joining in this week!! :)

  11. What a wonderful post! I have found my quiet times lately to be the very best part of my day, and a wonderful way to recharge and get started on the rest of the day. I am so thankful that our God takes an active role in our lives, and cares about guiding and directing us. What a great Dad He is! :-)

  12. I love that Scripture from Isaiah. I'm so excited to be studying Isaiah verse by verse through Bible Study Fellowship this year. Your photo goes perfectly with this one. I love to be reminded that He guides my steps but I need to listen to that still small voice of His Holy Spirit.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
