Photo Art Friday - Mandalas

At an art show two summers ago my jaw dropped open when I saw this kind of gorgeous photo manipulation called Mandala.  The artist had them printed on aluminum in all kinds of shapes.  I was in awe and immediately came home to figure out how to produce it myself.  I tried it once, loved the results, computer crashed, lost the file.  *ugh*

I recently searched once again for the tutorial on how to do it and was so pleased to find the original tutorial here.  So I wrestled with it again for over an hour to get this image complete.  If you have a different version of Photoshop, sometimes it takes lots of trial and error to figure out what works on your version!

I am very pleased with these results!

  6. Your flower Mandala is wonderful. It would be fun to try this technique out but I don't have PSE. Wonder if this could be done in Gimp.
