Creative Monday Tablerunner

You've probably noticed that I love going to thrift stores!  It's like a giant surprise every time you go because you just never know what you are going to find!  Garage sales are the same way, but I don't usually find as much there anymore.  I happened across an estate sale a few weeks ago and found a linen table cloth.  It had a few stains but I thought I could cut it up and use it somehow.

I decided to make a table runner.  So I cut out two sections that were stain free, added a piece of fabric in the middle that matches the curtains in the kitchen.

I simply sewed the pieces together and then baste stitched down the outsides so I could create a ruffle.

I had a small piece of the fabric left, so I re-lined the basket that sits on the table with the salt, pepper and napkins in it.
Add fresh flowers and Grandma's teacup...done.
